How it works
A random grocery list for pretend shops, budgeting lessons and shopping games: ten everyday items a press, each with the aisle to look in. Tick the box when an item is in the cart. No brand, shop or price is named.

Tick, keep and redraw
Tap an item to tick it as bought. A ticked item stays when you press the button again, so only the rest of the list changes. The page keeps your list and its ticks on this device for your next visit.
One aisle, or a longer list
The list by the button reads Any aisle. Choose Produce, Dairy and eggs, Bakery, Meat and fish, Cupboard, Frozen, Drinks or Household. Under the list, Show 15 makes it longer and Print gives a sheet with empty boxes.
Tips
- Budgeting lesson: draw a list, find each price in a store flyer and add up the bill.
- Shopping game: two teams take the same list and race to find every item on the shelves.
Questions and answers
Is this a list of what I should buy?
No. The items are drawn at random from everyday groceries, so the list suits games, lessons and pretend shops. It is not a meal plan and gives no advice on what to eat.
Why are there no brands or prices?
Brands and prices differ from shop to shop and change often. Every item is written the plain way, such as dish soap or a box of cereal, so the list works in any store.
Does the list include alcohol?
No. There is no alcohol or tobacco on the list, and no medicine.
