Questions and answers
What is a good name for a cat person?
This page builds names from the sounds a cat makes: m, r, sh and f, as in Purrmay or Yushri. The byname then says something a cat would do, such as Naps Through Thunder or Quiet at the Door.
Can I use this as a catgirl name generator?
Yes. A catgirl is a female character with feline traits, such as cat ears or a tail, on an otherwise human body, and the names here fit any cat-eared character, girl or boy.
Are the clans real kinds of cat?
Yes. Each clan is named for a wild cat of the family Felidae, such as the Serval, and the list under the tool gives one line on each from its English Wikipedia article. The cat people themselves are invented.
Are these names from a game or a comic?
None that we found. Each name is invented, and a name that matched a Wikipedia page, a word in its text or a page on the fan wikis we read was cut. Search a name before you publish it.
