Questions and answers
What is a good name for a tiger?
A good tiger name comes from the stripes or the strength. Brushstroke, Goldstripe and Bamboo Shadow are for the coat. Thunderpaw, Ironclad and Locomotive are for the power. Prusten is the real word for a tiger's soft, friendly snort.
What do you name a white tiger?
Try Snowstripe, Ink on Snow, Milk and Ink or Line Drawing. Mohan was a real white tiger, caught in 1951 by the king of Rewa.
Is this a big cat name generator?
It is written for one big cat, the tiger. The names from strength and the soft names for a cub would suit a lion or a leopard as well. The stripe names and the words for tiger would not.
Are these the names of tigers from films and cartoons?
Not on purpose. We wrote the names, cut any that stand in Wikipedia's list of fictional big cats, and left out the tigers of well-known films, books, cartoons, food packets and sports teams by hand.
