Five colors, left to right
The colors are named under the palette in the order the tile shows them, and the hex codes follow the same order. Copy takes the name and all five codes.
Six moods
After the first press, open the list under the button: Classic orange and black, Purple and green, Dark and moody, Vintage, Pastel Halloween or For small children.
Why orange, black and purple
Black, orange and sometimes purple are Halloween's traditional colors. The first two groups are built on them, and the rest move away on purpose.
Tips
- For a sign that must be read from the street, put the lightest color of the palette on the darkest.
Questions and answers
What are the traditional Halloween colors?
Black, orange and sometimes purple. Party food and decorations for the holiday typically use those three.
What are the hex codes for Halloween orange and black?
On this page Orange is #FF8000, Pumpkin is #FF7518 and Black is #000000, as Wikipedia's list of colors gives them. Each palette prints its own five codes under the color names.
Is there a palette that is not scary?
Yes. Choose For small children for bright, friendly sets, or Pastel Halloween for soft pinks, lilacs and mint with one dark color at most.
Can I use these for a costume or a party?
Yes. Take a palette along to choose fabric, face paint, balloons or icing. The codes are screen colors, so match them to the real thing by eye.
