Choose More filters to open Sound: Rock, Country, Pop, Indie, Dance or Classical. Mood and Sound narrow together, so Workout with Dance leaves Treadmill Disco and Cardio Kick Drum.

Questions and answers

What should I name my playlist?

Name it for when you play it. Exit Sign Mix says road trip, No Lyrics Allowed says study and Lamp Off, Volume Low says sleep, so you can find the right list without opening it.

What are good names for a workout playlist?

Try Treadmill Disco for dance songs, Guitars and Burpees for rock, Strings for Sprints for fast classical pieces, or Rest Day Is Tomorrow for everything fast you own.

What is a good name for a sad playlist?

Hood Pulled Low, Cello at Daybreak and Homeward Bus Songs are for low days. Gray, Then Gold starts sad and ends warm, and Tomorrow Is Better Tape looks ahead.

Can I use these names on any music app?

Yes. They are plain words we wrote ourselves, with no artist or music service in them. With so many songs in the world, one may still match a title somewhere.

Do you have names for a rap playlist?

Those are on their own page, What Should I Name My Rap Playlist, with names by mood for rap only. No name appears on both pages.

How this list was compiled: Own list of 150 names for a playlist, written for this page on 2026-10-02; every name and every line under it is our own work, and none was copied from a music service, a book or a site. Each name sits under one of ten moods, and about six in ten also carry one of six sounds; the mood, the sound and the line on what to put on the list are our judgment. No artist, album or music service is named, and no name was taken from a song; with so many songs in the world, a name may still match a title somewhere. A script compared every name with this site's song, album and rap playlist lists and found no repeat. Licence: Own work
