Questions and answers

What is a good name for a pet bird?

Start with the kind of bird. Scallop and Nomad suit a budgie, Quiff suits a cockatiel with its crest, Roller is a canary breed famous for its song, and Ringneck is another name for the Barbary dove.

What are funny pet bird names?

The funny ones come from what the bird does. Wing Commander leads every flight around the living room, Co-Pilot rides on your shoulder and helps, Squeaky Gate has learned exactly one noise, and Mirror Friend talks to the other budgie all day.

What do you name a blue or a green bird?

For blue feathers, try Bluebell, Cornflower, Periwinkle or Sky Patch. For green, Fern Frond, Mint Leaf, Pea Pod or Kiwi Slice. Yellow, white and gray have their own groups in the same list.

Are these bird names from cartoons or films?

Not on purpose. We wrote the names and cut any found in Wikipedia's lists of fictional birds, ducks, penguins and birds of prey, then left out the birds of well-known cartoons and games by hand.
