Five places to yell
For no reason holds lines about nothing, such as "The soup has been warned!", for a kitchen or a quiet house. At a game holds cheers for any team. On a hike holds calls for an echo point or the top of a climb. In a play holds lines to burst in with on stage. As a battle cry holds charges for a pillow fight, a sprinkler or a pile of leaves.
Where shouting is welcome
Yell where it bothers nobody: in the stands, on a stage, in your own yard, or at a lookout with no one resting close by.
- In drama class, draw from In a play and build a one-minute scene that ends on the line.
- At an echo point, shout once, then stay quiet and listen.
Questions and answers
What are some random things to yell?
Lines about nothing, said at full volume: "Long live the left sock!", "Onward, to the fridge!" or "Bring me my second-best hat!" Choose For no reason and press the button for another.
What are funny things to yell at a game?
Cheers that fit any team: "We believe in the bench!" or "Thank you, referee!" Every line in At a game is a cheer. None mocks a referee, the other side or a player's mistake.
What can you yell to hear an echo?
Try "Hello, other side!" or "Canyon, say something nice!" from On a hike. Those lines are for a valley, a canyon or a marked echo point, away from people who came for the quiet.
Are these lines safe to yell in public?
They were written to be. No line is an insult, a dare, a call for help or a false alarm, and none names a real person, team or place. Stop if someone asks you to.
