    Attack Name of the day

    How it works

This anime attack name generator makes up the name of one special move for a manga, a game or a fan story: a modifier, an element or a creature, and a technique word, as in Secret Crimson Lotus Waltz.

An attack name generator in three parts

Press New attack name. Keep the element and press for one fighter's whole move list, from an opening strike to a last guard, or keep the technique and change what it is made of.

    What the last word says

The technique word names the kind of move, and the list below explains each one: a Kick is a strike with the foot, a Beam is a straight line of energy, a Waltz is a string of steps and a Wall is a defense that stops an attack.

    Questions and answers

How do you name an anime attack?

Stack three ideas: how the move is done, what it is made of and what kind of move it is. This page deals one part for each, so a result reads like Roaring Koi Crescent.

Are these attacks from a real anime?

No. Every part is our own. Each pair of element and technique was checked against the page titles of fan wikis of the large fighting series and of Wikipedia, and words behind a match, such as Dragon and Fist, were taken out.

Why is there no Dragon, Thunder or Fist?

Those words spell too many moves that published series already use, so they were taken out with the other words that matched. What is left can still match a move somewhere: search a name before you publish it.

Can I use these names in my own manga, game or fan fiction?

Yes, at no charge. The page cannot tell whether a name is free to use, and trade marks were not searched.

How this list was compiled: Our own list of 70 elements, creatures and plants, written on 2026-10-03. Every pair of an element and a technique word that the page can spell was checked by script on 2026-10-03 against the page titles of fan wikis of large fighting, adventure and monster series (among them naruto.fandom.com, dragonball.fandom.com, onepiece.fandom.com, bleach.fandom.com, myheroacademia.fandom.com, kimetsu-no-yaiba.fandom.com, jujutsu-kaisen.fandom.com, fairytail.fandom.com, hunterxhunter.fandom.com, blackclover.fandom.com, pokemon.fandom.com, digimon.fandom.com, jojo.fandom.com, onepunchman.fandom.com, yuyuhakusho.fandom.com, saintseiya.fandom.com, inuyasha.fandom.com, sailormoon.fandom.com and avatar.fandom.com; four very large wikis were read only in part) and against English Wikipedia page titles (https://en.wikipedia.org/, CC BY-SA 4.0). 460 pairs matched a page title, such as Dragon Fist and Thunder Punch, so 84 elements and 18 technique words were taken out, Thunder, Dragon, Fist and Cannon among them; no pair that is left matched. Whole three-part names and modifier-and-element pairs were checked against the same fan wiki titles. No list is complete, so search a name before you publish it. Licence: own work

How this list was compiled: Our own list of 39 technique words in five groups, each with our own line on the kind of move it names, written on 2026-10-03. The check of every pair is described under the elements. Six more words (Drop, Cut, Ray, Bolt, Step, Rush) were taken out on 2026-10-05, so that no more than 40 in 100 of the words stand on another list of this site. Licence: own work
