    Drag Name of the day

    How it works

This drag name generator deals a first name, a made-up surname and an invented house, as in Miss Dolores Von Glitter of the House of Tall Hair. Every surname has a line of its own under the tool.

A drag queen name generator with mild words

Press New drag name, then tap the first name, the surname or the house to lock that part or change it alone. Surnames come from sparkle, the wardrobe, the stage and the dessert cart. None is a joke about a body, and every house is invented.

    What the house is for

In ballroom culture, members of a house typically take the name of the house as their last name. A result gives both, so Gigi Chandelier of the House of Tall Hair can also go by Gigi Tall Hair.

    Questions and answers

How do drag performers get their names?

A drag queen may pick a drag name, or be given it by a friend or a drag mother, according to Wikipedia's article on drag queens. Drag mothers are more experienced members of the community and often lead a drag house.

Is the name already a performer's?

This page cannot tell. A script checked each surname, each full name and each house against Wikipedia's lists of drag performers and of television contest casts, and a match cost a word. Most performers are in no list, so search first.

Can I leave the house off?

Yes. Copy the result and keep only the first two parts: Lady Ophelia St. Sequin is a full name on its own.

How this list was compiled: Our own list of 82 surnames with one line each, written on 2026-10-02. Each is an ordinary word of the wardrobe, the stage or the dessert cart, or a made-up family name, and its line is a plain dictionary sense or our own remark; none is a joke about a body. That day a script searched for every surname, every first name and surname together, and every house in the text of the English Wikipedia list of drag queens, its list of drag kings, its articles on ball culture and two ballroom houses, and its lists of contestants of the television drag contests. A hit cost a word. One more, Spangle, came off afterward because a list of last names on this site holds it. Most performers have no Wikipedia article, so a name here can still belong to someone. How this list was compiled: Our own list of 51 invented house names, written on 2026-10-02 and screened with the surnames, as described there; no house of ballroom culture and no fashion label is among them. The custom the page describes, that members of a house typically take its name as their last name, is from the English Wikipedia article Ball culture (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ball_culture), read that day.
