How it works
This magician name generator pairs a billing, such as The Great, Professor or Madame, with an invented stage name, as in The Great Dazzolini. It names someone who does magic tricks on a stage, not a wizard in a story.

Press, then keep one half
Press New magician name. Tap the billing or the name to keep it or change it, so Dazzolini can be The Great, The Amazing or The Nearly Great. Each name is a trick word with a stage ending: Fizzolini ends in ini, Dazzlo in o, and the list under the tool says which word each one grew from.
Three kinds of billing
Grand ones (The Astonishing, The Incomparable), titles (Professor, Madame, Signor) and comic ones for a first show at a birthday party or a school (The Almost Amazing, The Mostly Magnificent).
Questions and answers
What is a good name for a magician?
A billing in front of one short, grand name, as in The Great Dazzolini or Professor Flasho. The billing tells the audience what kind of act to expect, and one name is easier to fit on a poster than two.
Why do so many magician names end in ini?
Harry Houdini, born Erik Weisz, took his stage name from the French magician Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin and added an i. Wikipedia's list of magicians holds other stage names with the ending, Cardini and Slydini among them.
Are these real magicians' names?
None that a script could find. Each invented name was searched in the full text of English Wikipedia, its list of magicians included, and a name found anywhere was cut. A performer with no article could still use one.
Can a child use one for a magic show?
Yes. Every billing and name is clean, and the comic billings, such as The Nearly Great, were written for a first show. The billing Master is on the list for a young performer.
