    Rap Name of the day

    How it works

This rap name generator joins an opener such as Lil, MC or Young to a name word and an ending, as in Lil Monsoon the Third. Left on Any style, it is a random rap name generator.

    Pick a style, then press

Old school keeps to openers such as MC and Kool with endings such as Supreme. New school keeps to Lil, Yung and Baby with endings such as Jr. Silly swaps the name word for a Pickle or a Kazoo. Press New rap name, then tap a part to lock it or change it alone: MC Granite Supreme can become MC Granite the Great.

A rap star name generator with clean words

Name words come from weather, animals, stones and metals, and food. The lists under the tool show every word in its group.

    Tips
    • Say it the way a host would before a show.

    Questions and answers

Is there a stupid rap name generator here?

Yes: the Silly style. It keeps the openers and swaps in words such as Rutabaga, with endings such as the Okay and from Accounting.

Is my rap name already taken?

This page cannot tell. A script checked every opener and name word pair against Wikipedia's lists of hip-hop musicians and groups and its page titles, and a match cost a word. Most performers have no article there, so search a name before you use it.

Can it make a rap name from my real name?

No. The tool takes no typed name: it deals from its own three lists. Keep an opener or an ending you like and put your own name in the middle yourself.

Why does every name have three parts?

The tool fills all three rows on every press and cannot leave one empty. Drop the ending when you copy the name if two parts suit you better: Yung Cobalt stands without it.

How this list was compiled: Our own list of 91 ordinary English words, chosen on 2026-10-02; none is about drugs, guns, gangs or money. That day a script searched for every word, and for every opener joined to a word, in the text of the English Wikipedia lists of hip-hop musicians, hip-hop groups, West Coast hip-hop artists, stage names and turntablists, and then looked up every opener and word pair, and every word followed by (rapper) or (musician), as an English Wikipedia page title. A hit cost a word. Most performers have no Wikipedia article, so a name here can still belong to someone. Licence: own work
