How it works
This award name generator makes up a prize in three parts: a describing word, an object and a good deed from work, school, home, sport or a story world, as in The Golden Paperclip Award for Finding the Missing Stapler.

Press, then keep the part you like
Press New award. Tap the describing word, the object or the deed to keep it or change it, so the same trophy can go to a different deed.
Five kinds of deed
At work (Holding the Elevator), at school (Reading Past the Bell), at home (Folding a Fitted Sheet), in sport (Finishing the Last Lap) and in a story world (Feeding the Castle Cats). Keep changing the deed alone until one from the right group comes up; the full lists are under the tool.
Tips
- The dented, borrowed and cardboard trophies suit a joke award; Golden, Crystal and Grand suit one meant sincerely.
Questions and answers
What are some funny award names?
Ones that pair a grand trophy with a small, true deed, such as The Slightly Dented Paperclip Award for Matching All the Socks. The joke is the gap between the two, and nobody is teased: every deed here is something kind or useful.
Are these real awards?
Made up at random. A script searched the Golden, Silver and other formal award names in the full text of English Wikipedia and cut the objects it found, Trowel and Cowbell among them. A school or club somewhere may still use one of these names.
Can I use the names for an office party or a class?
Yes. Every deed is fit for any age. For an office, change the deed until one from the work group appears, and for a class wait for a school one.
Does the page make a certificate?
No. It only names the award: The Crystal Paperclip Award for Finding the Missing Stapler, for instance. The name can go on any certificate, ribbon or paper plate you make yourself.
