Random Word Generators by Part of Speech and Language
Each page here draws one kind of word and prints what you need to use it. Adjectives come with a meaning, an example sentence and a positive, negative or neutral tag. Verbs show their past tense and say whether they are regular or irregular. Adverbs are sorted by the question they answer: how, when, where, how much or how often. The phrase page holds real English idioms with what they mean, the Spanish page gives the English meaning, the part of speech and el or la for every noun, and the funny word page holds real words that sound made up. The noun, sentence, object and emoji pages round out the set. On the adjective, verb, adverb, phrase, Spanish and funny word pages the chip rows combine, and the meaning, past tense or translation sits under a cover you can close, so a draw turns into a quiz or a printed worksheet. A draw also works as a grammar warm-up, a way to unstick a paragraph, or a round of charades or drawing. Every list is printed in full on its page, so you can read each word before you use it with a group.
